Document Design That Makes People Actually Read It
Most business documents are an afterthought. The content gets written, someone drops it into Word, and it goes out looking like it was made in a hurry - because it was.
If your reports, brochures, or proposals represent your business to clients, investors, or partners, they deserve better than that.
What I Design
I work with businesses and organisations to design documents that are clear, consistent, and genuinely well-crafted, including:
What You Get
Consistent, professional layouts built around your brand
Typographic hierarchy that guides the reader naturally through the content
Design that works both on screen (PDF) and in print
A document you’ll be proud to send to clients, customers and investors.
Who This Is For
Businesses producing client-facing reports, proposals, or brochures
Startups & scaleups who need to look established and credible
Agencies & consultancies with content that needs a design partner
Organisations publishing annual or sustainability reports
Anyone who’s been sending out documents and quietly hoping no one notices how they look
How It Works
Tell me about your document - what it is, who it’s for, and when you need it. I’ll come back to you with a clear process and a transparent quote.
What Clients Say
“I enjoyed working with Newton Design Co. on our sustainability report project. Their meticulous attention to detail, responsiveness, and ability to exceed turnaround times were impressive. Not only did they deliver ahead of the deadline, but their considerate approach and exceptional value for money make them a top recommendation in the field.”

I understand how to make complex, content-heavy documents readable, consistent, and genuinely well presented. Working directly with me means clear communication, fast turnaround, and no layers of process getting in the way.
FAQs
What formats do you deliver documents in?
1
PDF for distribution and print, plus the original editable file (InDesign, Word, or PowerPoint depending on what works best for your team) so you can make future updates without coming back to me each time.
Can you work with our existing brand guidelines?
2
Yes. If you have a brand guide I will work within it. If your guidelines are out of date or incomplete, I can help tighten those up as part of the project.
Do you write the content as well as design it?
3
My focus is design rather than copywriting, but if your content needs work before design begins I can point you in the right direction. I work alongside Matt Kenney at Laureate Communications, a copywriting and corporate communications specialist with deep expertise in maritime, energy, and industrial sectors. Between us we can take a project from blank page to finished document. You can find out more about Matt's work at laureate.co.uk.
How long does a document design project take?
4
It depends on the length and complexity of the document, but most projects are turned around within one to two weeks. Longer reports or multi-chapter publications take a little longer. Get in touch with your brief and I can give you a realistic timeframe.
